Hillhead 18/4/11

I will make this about as quick as my session at Hillhead today.

This morning, I dropped my kids of at the outlaws in Fareham for a few days, and thought that whilst I was down that way I might have a go for a Thorny or early hound from Hillhead.

BassmanRob told me that there was not too much coming from there yet and that I would probably have trouble with the weed.

Unfortunately he was spot on. The weed made it impossible for me to hold bottom and within a couple of minutes the line was singing with the weight of weed on it and the bait had been dragged to within 30M of the shore.

I might have a go again on Saturday when I go to pick the kids up again.

I think if I had been there over low water I would have been more confident and stuck it out.
