| Pompey harbour this morning Decided to get up early this morning and fish a little muddy spot next to where i work on the flood tide. Two rods out by 0430, large lug and rag baits fished on a simple running ledger in one of the mud gulleys. 20 minutes later i pulled one rod in and was rebaiting when i heard a crash, on looking up i could see my other rod had been pulled over and was making it's way to the water. After a decent scrap on the carp rod i had a nice Bass in hand, it went 5lb 2oz on my mates scales, dead chuffed  We fished untill it was time for work about 0730 but only had two schoolies. Thats two decent Bass i've had from this spot in two short sessions and to look at it all its only a shallow muddy gully  __________________ One day i will post a catch report again.     |
