| Dover's Eastern Arm 13th April 11 Dovorian & Fishypauls session on the Eastern Arm We Set up about 4pm. High water was 19:00 I fished 3 rods. 2 beachcasters and a boat rod down the wall with a 1/o 3 hook paternoster rig. Both beachcasters were cast out one with a 1/o 2 hook flapper and the other with a 4/o pulley pennel rig. I used lug and squid on the 1/o hooks and Mackeral, squid and sand eel on the 4/0. My first fish was a Ballen wrasse caught on the boat rod down the wall. I re-baited the 3 hook paternoster with muscles and caught a little pouting. That was all I caught on that rod. I think I only had a dogfish on the 4/o pulley pennel. On the 2 hook flapper I caught whiting pouting and dogfish, in double shots a lot of the time. I kept 6 Dogfish, Some nice sized ones. We put a fair few back, not sure how many we caught between the two of us but there were plenty of them about. No Thornback Rays! Paul caught an extremely large pouting. Lots of little whiting pouting and of course the Dover Dorados! I feel a lot better now after blanking on Monday. Only a short session but very busy. Thanks for a nice evening Paul. All the best. | Re: Dover's Eastern Arm 13th April 11 Trouble with the Addy is its full of undesirables, costs a fortune, is snaggy and has strong tides, which wouldnt be a problem if there wasnt undesireables!. I might however take the boy mackeralling there when its time. We might fish Samphire hoe together at somepoint in the summer, we discussed it briefly.
