| Hordle 25/3/11 Fished under Hordle cliffs with Lee last night with the target being small eyed rays. We were fishing by about 9, right at the end of low. We were immediately into bites, Lee first on double sandeel. This resulted into a schoolie of 10oz or so. Despite scratching out a few bits this year I still hadn't actually seen a bite in 2011! So I was delighted to see three sharp pulls on my first cast and connect with something that pulled back. A scrappy schoolie of about the same size as Lee's. ![]() We were confident of a good session at a mark neither of us had fished before but those first cast schoolies turned out to be blank savers. The bass must have been in feeding over low and they disappeared whilst the rays never read the script. We fished on late into the night with only a couple of tiny rattles. Rays 1 Rob 0, but I'll be back soon. |

| Re: Hordle 25/3/11 Yeah, we were down there as well last night. No Rays again, just Schoolies, Whiting and Pout. Oh, and plenty of good old red weed. |
