after serving the family a curry & washing up
which was my half of the deal to blag bait money from the missus
it was time to load the car that id spend the past day or 2 sorting out a knackered blower fan on.
got to the beach about 2245, 3hours b4 high water the sea was flat,glassy calm, the moon had just risen over the town & i was gonna take a piccy , till i discovered the the digicam had no card in it.
anyway 2 rods cast out , one with a 2 hook flapper with squid tipped worm baits & the other with a pully pennel loaded with macky & sandeel/ squid cocktails the aerlex faultless as ever but the sport mag flying well but the persistant problem with a lazy spool release return continues, still can't sort this.
the first cast quickly yealded a small pout, its always good to avoid a blank .
then the pennel rod pulled down & nodded, i stood and waited for the second nod but it didn't come , cranked in something moderately heavy for about 20 yards b4 it shed the hook, must have been weed or a rock coz i don't loose fish .
after refreshing the bait and recasting both rods the pennel nodded and pulled around , still pulling when i got to the rod so a swift strike and i was in , it seemed like forever cranking it to the shore as i had again put this bait at distance, a fish rolled over in my torchlight on the shoreline and i realized that my wish has been granted, unfortunately it was the wrong wish, the one i'de had at town quay as i'd caught a big doggie.

good for specie points though & mobly phone cam came good, if in an unintentional arty black&white kinda way




the next hour or so found more pout and whiteing comming to the flapper rig , the whiteing seemed to like a small square of mackerel tipped wioth squid,but no more bites on the pennel.
high tide topped out and the bites dryed up & i fell asleep for longer than planned not that i planned sleeping in the first place

i woke cold , with hands too numb to reel in the multiplier and had to stomp up and down the beach for a bit to warm up, rebaited the bare hooks .
managed to land a double shot of whiteing as the tide ebbed but had to leave at 4am due to a mixture of the school run + boredom.

fan motor quit again for a cold ride home,
i guess i'll be dismantleing the vdub again today

front heater/blower fan motor quit.- new fan-£132, recon fan prob £30 from ebay , couldn't find one in a scrappy locally but didn't look to hard. took it to bits & had a look-
brushes worn out,

replacement generic brushes £7 deliverd on ebay , adapted & fitted after reteaching myself to solder (badly)
refitted and tested, all seems ok job done for £7 or so i thought.
will retest but it looks like the fan slows to a stop when used constantly either that or its a wireing fault.

hopefully at worst it points toward a blown speed control resistor & so i may have to source one of they.

vehicle owners club websites/forums are invaluable, ya just got to sift the dross to find the gems of info.
