| charmouth 11/3/11 well with the P word in my head from hearing tales of plaice from chesil. i was off eastbound this afternoon blagged an hour out of work so game on had been warned with the wind that chesil wouldnt be worth it, so i dropped by Charmouth to see what like down there there was a steady surf but not too bad and water seemed cleanish , ok stop here then, paid the £4 parking and away stopping just past the old landslip to fish the clean ground, was there by 1.30 , cool 2 hours to low then back upa steady onshore wind was giving the paragliders fun but was definately brisk, there were also 100's of dog walkers for info that old slip has now slipped even more with a slurry river down through it as well ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() weather stayed ok till 5 ish when heavy cload came in and a strong southerly as well, when tide turned the water coloured quickly and to be honest the chances of anything in the chocolate were now slim ![]() so unfortunately the fishing was poor with only 4 rockling, gave up eariier than planned as doing extra shift tommorrow and knackered( must be getting old ), but def better than being at workand good to hit my favourite beach atlast this year ![]() dave s __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives |

| Re: charmouth 11/3/11 Unlucky Dave, could have been worse - like the surf in Japan. Just seen pictures of shop staff trying to hold up the shelves up in the wine & spirits dept in a supermarket. Strange world. __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |

JP - In my opinion, the tail end of the summer is the best time at Charmouth... When them big Bass come a crusing.
