| Chesil Today! Well I made it to Cogden this morning, all wrapped up in thermals and over trousers expecting to freeze my ' nads off, how wrong could I have been! It turned out to be a wonderful day even with the wind from an easterly direction! The fishing wasnt as bright as the weather unfortunately however I still managed 2 of the species on my hit list. 20 minutes after my first cast I saw a small tremble on the tip of the rod baited with rag fished on a long bodied single hook paternoster with added bling. This bite resulted in an undersized plaice, my first this year. No further action until 1700 hours when the same rod trembled again this time producing a dab, my first ever! That was it for me but the chap 80 yards to my left had 3 flatties one of which looked to be a very good size. When I was driving back home I went through the village of "Chideok" ( not sure about the spelling but its the village that you go into to get to Seatown) and I noticed that the speed camera had a hood over it with a "not in use" sign daubed on to it, 150 yards down the road was a police speed trap! | Re: Chesil Today! Damn! It was a toss up between going to Cogden and going over to my allotment and doing some work on it. Seems I made the wrong choice. I had heard that there was some early Plaice coming from Cogden. Nothing proves it more than a couple of nice pics. You know where I will be going tomorrow!
