| Boscombe Pier (yesterday) Had a trip down to Boscombe yesterday to fish the pier with 2 of my brothers, when we got there the pier was empty so we set up on the end with the beachcasters baited with a mixture of Rag,Lug,Squid and raw Prawns. We then set up the dabbling rods to try down between the anti diving wires and also to get out of the wind which had a bit of a nip to it. Started of catching 5 bearded Rockling right tight to the pier and small Plaice in the tide run from the side of the extension , had a Whiting on the beachcaster and then went back to the dabbling rods because it was warmer behind the wind shelter that runs down the middle of the pier, continued catching the Rockling and Plaice even in about a foot of water at the bottom of the tide. The 3 of us ended up with 10 Plaice 9 Rockling 2 Whiting and a solitary Flounder which came as we reeled in to pack up. Photos to follow      |
