 Leftover bait Used the bait I had leftover from Tuesday to have a couple of hours at Erith Pier, Picked up a pack of raw Prawns from the supermarket to make the worms last a bit longer, started at the bottom of the tide and it was DEAD not even a Crab in the first 2 hours then I had a bite and reeled in to soon so rebaited and cast out again into the smae spot and it was still there so I sat on my hands for 5 minutes and then reeled in this   Nothing else was being caught so we packed up about 3.00 and when I reeled in both of my hook snoods had been bitten through , probably the Mitten crabs have made it back into the river from their breeding trip into fresh water.     |
