| Last minute win, again. Well it was comp night on the Isle of Wight forum, it was running from 9pm till 12.00pm. I had one rod with sandeel on a clip down the other was rag and lug on a 2 hook flapper. The comp started and I get a good rattle on 1st cast, so was hopeful of some fish. But that was it, heard that Mike had a flounder of 1lb 2oz so looked like that was the winner. But with 8 minutes of the comp left I get a bite that could only be a bass, I struck and the fish put up a good fight, I was expecting a fish of around 3lb-4lb but in came a schoolie, but weighed it was 1lb 11oz, legal and the comp winner. ;)  __________________ 2011 species: 25     |
