| last knockings all round last night it was the return of team speckled( properly) as its been ages as just been 2 of us getting out, work family etc its just not happened  weather report was dry but windy from S/W , we had an offer for the BC but decided to stay nearer home and go for a flounder again, at out new top secret spot that gave us loads of bites in nov well got there and set up and were suprised how sheltered we were no need for jackets ( untill 1 1/2 hours in and did start getting chilly, flat calm so we fished 2 hours and a bit over the high, didly nadder not a touch, this was not what we expected, so a quick tackle down and back to the lazy spot you can fish from the car near lympstone, well how different conditions were, we were being battererd by the wind, car was rocking from the wind, god knows how the rods never went over  and there was a surf inside the estuary1/2 an hour later and i thought i saw a bite( schoolie i thought as didnt do anything else) it was by now gone 11 and thoughts were of the pub so we packed down and whoo hoo, that had been a bite, as i was rewarded at last with a plump flounder of about a lb   made the pub a tad later than planned ( err well 11.40pm actually) and managed to sweet talk the landlord for a pint  then a kebab to celebrate the reunion, at this point i must ask if its wrong that as we walk through door they put the chips in fryer and tell US our order a good night next week i think we are hitting the channel for a cod   team speckled are back!!!  dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |
