Hythe reclaimed land (23/01/11)

Well it was the first match for our new club on sunday , hythe reclaimed land was the venue , after picking up our score cards paying fees and saying our hellos we were off to the beach , fishing by 11 am with quite a brisk wind blowing in our faces , i took up my usual mark along there , opposite dock head (im a lazy git) ....................



most of the lads went further to the left , with one member walking to the barges .................



rigs were 1, 2 hook clip down with more bling than a rich chav , other rig was a wishbone with just a couple of beads added , 5 or 6 maddies added to each hook , things were quiet from the off , but with plenty of this ...............



rolls and brown sauce we werent going hungry things never picked up and nearly all 13 of us blanked , allan who was fishing next to me managed a 15 cms flounder albeit undersize a flounder is a flounder in these times ...................



the match was finally won by pete , who was fishing up by the barges with a solitary flounder of 32 cms , at least 10 of us without a bite all day , 2 other club matches there and as they walked back to the car park it was the same old story blank after blank , didnt hear of any more flounder along there all day

Good effort there. There is quite a bit of reclaimed land around Belfast i wonder is it worth a go...

sotton floundering is still dire, .
fords comp over the water from ya did little better with just 18 weighing in from 150 entrants , or so i hear.
