| Dungeness 11/01/11 Well it was our first trip of the year and we wanted to make it special , try to find a place that actually held some fish so the decision was made to drive to dungeness in kent and a 8 hour round trip , kev has a cracking van that will take 9 people and all the gear , we all chipped in for the fuel and left southampton at 8am tuesday morning picking up a few on the way as in total there were 6 of us , arrived at dungee and was fishing by 1 pm , the venue...............   very deep venue as well ..............  Well from the off the fishing was awsome with double / treble shots of dabs and whiting coming in .............   it was just unbelievable , the weather was on our side and it remained dry with very little wind , spratts were beaching themselves left right and center , by 8 pm i was shattered with the non stop action so i went down to one rod for the cod with big big baits on a 6/0 pennel pulley , and guess what ................yup more dabs lol just couldnt get away from the mountain of fish on the sea bed with the whiting feeding just above them , it was absolute non stop all the time we were there as soon as your lead hit the water the fish were on ! , by midnight we made the decision to take the long journey home and packed up after all i can describe as a awsome session , all fish were dabs and whiting , no monsters but quite a big stamp as dabs go , only one other flounder and a rockling was caught but deffo a session i wont forget ............ some happy campers ............   we ended up with over 600 fish between us ! what a session  lee. __________________ If Everyday things are getting you down & stressing you out, Think like a Dog, If it cant be Eaten or Humped, Piss on it and walk away..     |
