| Chesil B[L]ank, 2nd Jan Left Stroud @ 7am on Sunday to try our chances @ West Bexington. I offered to drive as I owed my mate a massive favour for coming up on Christmas day morning when the cold feed to my boiler froze solid having dipped to -13.6 overnight - so it wasnt long before the sound of a cracked can of Carlsberg was heard from the passenger seat! Overcast, very still and and cold. Bait was squid and mackerel. Also tried a couple of different lures and a wedge with a small spinning rod just out of interest more than anything (also helped keep me warm). Nothing. By 2pm the ticket on the car was up so we decided to knock it on the head Must have been a couple of hundred there in total. Think that's gonna be it for the winter. These blanks are getting me down. P.S. Notice the council have a) dug up the bank before the entrance to the car park so you can no longer park for free; b) Put the prices of the carpark right up - Now £5.80 for 4 hours.
