bigfish is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Dover Or Deal

Deal = loads of small stuff

Dover = better chance of something bigger

Having said that fish in hope rather than expectation!

Re: Dover Or Deal

hello mate, not the best of weekends to fish dover or deal,7.30 am high water means you will be fishing low water,
deal hasn't been too good recently,i would go for dover without a doubt,if you can get out on the breakwater then that will probably be favourite, even at low water it can fish quite good.
barring that, the admiralty is worth a bash, there is always the chance of something special on there.
i hear folkestone pier isn't too bad at the moment, plenty of dabs apparently,
best of luck wherever you go mate.

Re: Dover Or Deal

Hi mate,

I would say that Deal Pier is worth a try over low water, but you could end up losing a load of gear.

I think your best chance of something out of the ordinary would be Admiralty pier ... if you can get on there nice and early and catch the slack of the flood, say around 9-ish, you may have an outside chance of a Codling - I've heard of a few over the last couple of weeks.

Failing that, as Paul says, the Breakwater's worth a try, I've heard a few reports of Bass coming up, and if you fancy something a bit further afield, Dungie is fishing well for Dabs, as Paul, Rob M and I will vouch for!!

Can't comment on Folkestone Pier - never fished it in my life.

Cheers,
JB.

Re: Dover Or Deal

Cheers Guys I May Try Dover Then
The Pier Steward Seems To Be Under The Impression There Are Only The Odd Dogfish Coming Out From Dover But Hey Do The Fisherman Tell Him Everything They Catch?
Your Help On Here Is Very Much Appreciated As I Have Only Been Sea Fishing Around A Year
Went Out On My First Boat Trip From Dover 30th January 2005 Did Not Catch Much Though
Gonna Go On A Bigger Boat On The 9th July 2005 Though
The Jollyfisherman Iii Out Of Dover Its A 33ft Catamaran
Anyways Thanks All
Tight Lines
