| Solent boat fishing yesterday Well i have'nt been fishing for a long time mainly due to work, but with the start of my new job all that is going to change. My mate Pete has just got himself a new boat so it was decided t have ago after the Cod. There had been some good reports of big Cod comming in from the Needles area but due to the windy forcast we decided to stay local fishing a mark between stokes bay and Ryde. I really thought we may atleast get a few Yting. We got the boat in the water at 0630 and it was pretty chilly to say the least ![]() ![]() Anyway to cut a long story short we fished 4 rods hard for four hours with big squid baits and the only fish caught was a small pout by Pete. I reckon thats the solent dead now untill one or two Plaice turn up in March ![]() Here are a few pics of what was a very enjoyable day even without fish. Sunrise Solent style ![]() My catch of the day ![]() Pete making small pout look big ![]() The days catch ![]() Happy Christmas and happy new year to all on the forum, 2011 is going ![]() to be a good year __________________ One day i will post a catch report again. |
