Re: weymouth/portland

thats nice to know.aint been out for 3 weeks but last trip we had 3 smallish bass by the race then 2 turbot at 8lb a time on the shambles along with a few gurnards and missed bites due to the strenght of the tide. will have to give the race area a go again.cheers, tight lines

Re: weymouth/portland

Fair play to you,bet that was an amazing fight! we got out on sat and had a drift by the race but nothing there so went onto the shambles for a go, second drift i had a great bite which ended up being a nice plump 15lb cod. nothing much for the rest of the day but my dad finished the day off with a turbot around the 4lb mark of which im told is quite late in the year but never the less was a good result. other boats went around the race toward chesil and had a good day on the whitting, with a couple of rays and a spur.

all in all it was good to be out there.
