| Wind and Fishing Just the two of us. Having watched the weather all week it was decision time on Friday, checked again, top end of a F4 and Sunday F5 so canceled both trips. Saturday dawned with no wind and bright sun shine, checked weather again no wind sat or sunday, Ray called "have you seen this weather" "yes and its the same tomorrow" "just the two of us then, go catch some cod, see you at six" 0500 Sunday cuppa in hand check weather, gone up again mid F4, sod it we're going. Met Ray at the boat and of we went, it was lumpy, very lumpy and bloody cold but we fished, big squid baits were shredded with in minutes pout and dogs in numbers caught on 7/0 hooks, one good bite turned into a 20lb strap, Ray countered with a 3lb codling then all went quiet for a couple of hours, then Rays rod went and a 11lb ish cod hit the deck, we called it a day at 2.30 as we had had enough of a beating. Sorry no pics as it was more than F4 and trying to take one wasn't an option. Tight lines fishers. __________________ Poor prep= Pathetic Performance     |
