the holiday report- day 1

well the venue this year was brixham, based on a holidaypark overlooking st marys bay,
after a swift sort out myself and ronnie went to explore the nearby fishing potential by takeing a walk along the cliff path to the beach at st marys where we found a live brittlestar washed up .
then onward to sharkham point where there was a guy angling but ronnie didn't want to venture down the cliff path to the ledges to speak with him so home we went 4 tea.
after tea , sherilee and i grabbed a rod each + a few squid and a wrap of blacklug.
we climbed down to see the guy at sharkham point and though he had caught a few pollock shez wasn't to happy about staying there, i planned on returning at some point though. so we headed back to the beach at st marys to have a wee dangle at the incomeing tide.
retaught sherilee to cast & left her enthusiastically throwing a spinner about along the shore while i set up the awb and launched a scratching rig seaward. i'd seen some fish moveing earlier while out with ronnie at the far end of the beach , just topping in the back wash from the cliff face, but over all it was just a few hours to chill and i wasn't to hopefull of any success.

nice spot though.

sherilee eventually got bored with the fruitless casting and resorted to some drysurfing practice.

the beach, looking north

the beach looking out to the mudstone, ( looks well bassy)

the beach looking south to sharkham point.

after a couple of hours untroubled by fish we quit and headed for the bar where much to my dismay the only thing on tap resembleing beer was john smiths smooth, served ice cold.
all else was larger

edit- woo hoo piccys seem to have worked , can't upload to photobucket which seems to be t*ts up at the mo.

Really feel for you mate. I can live with a blank, but John Smiths, that really sucks... I'm supprised they hav'nt been done under the trades description act for trying to pass that muck off as beer...
