| Shoreham East Arm tonight I had frozen black, squid and fresh mackeral for bait, Fished the up from 1830-0130hrs, One other guy fishing two rods squid as bait, half way through the session without even a sniff the guy beside me had a small dogfish, but with only this to show for several hours of fishing and a couple of rattles he decided to call it a night, with a further couple of hours until high tide I decided to stay on, had a couple more rattles but didn't connect. An hour after my good friend departed, a single guy turns up and shortly afterwards is joined by three or four others, furiously setting up rod after rod after rod, about half way down the arm, then all but one remained behind and the others left, I thought strange!!! after about another hour I called it a blank, packed up and as I walked down the arm I couldn't really believe my eye's, there were a couple of gents half way down the arm with 20 rods out between them and one of them was still setting up a further rod! I had to wonder if this was a nightly occurrence , If so would it be the reason for such a lack of action, not one Whiting all night?![]() I can only imagine these guys are throwing one hell of a fish cake party |
