busy day on the brambles

head out this morning in hope of the first winter cod of the year, but it was not to be.
instead we must had had over 50 whiting, most been between 1lb and 2lb. we took 7 bigger ones for the pot. other than that we had few jumbo pout and doggers. for a nice change no weed.
at 3ish we thought we'd try for a ray and moved to calshot, but it was dead.
after a while we hea back and tryed the river for a flounder but no such luck.
so busy day andd with some cracking weather to top it off.
think i might get out mid week and try again for a weenie 20lb cod...lol

Shame about the Cod John, but nice bag of Whiting though. Sounds like theres a lot around this autumn.
