| 7th town quay finnished work at 18.30 then dragged to t/q by hartley to collect his new rod, fished from approx 22.00-0200 bait squid & mackerel rigs, 2 hook flapper & a flowing trace with an over enthusiastic 10/0 hook  just the odd random knock but not much doing, hartley managed to christen his new purchase with a doggie while i blanked. will be back at work for 07, 10/0 hooks soon likely to be re-employed suspending  boss by his nipples till he changes my shift pattern to something more suitable __________________ beer so many venues, so little time.     |

i couldn't see how far he was casting due to the dark but i recon the r/t levely windy is a factor in restricting distance at the mo' + um..........how can i put this ................a shytye casting styley. but that should improve with time , once he has becomed skilled at untangleing birdies, which i'm sure will become regular aS he gets more confident, (it happens to us all  )then it will be time for him to get a nice fast ct reel for more distance and bigger tangles seriously he's not too bad, i was impressed with the rod myself, not too sure i like the idea of modern low diameter butts though im not worried about lack of strength its just that its uncomfortable , not enough to get my hand arround & ive only got small hands, def liked the tippy action & the recovery made me wonder just how soft me awb's had got since new. __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |
