town quay 06/10/10

After the disaster of fishing pagham the night before , with swells like ive never seen before and rain from 11 pm untill 2 am and all blanking apart from sandm who snagged his usual friends the dog and the pout we used up our leftover bait and fished the quay ,

met up with steve sandm , billy , and steve for a weed /rain/swell free night lol usual suspects of sole , pout , whiting filled the hooks untill high water when it died a death again , and didnt pick up at all , we left at 7 am this morning with more missed hits from the bass on livebaits than i ever can remember it really was a shocker however me and steve managed 1 each ........





we will be back soon as i reckon we have another good 3 weeks at the bass

Well done boys,
A bit of a bone question here but when you sea dogs do all nighters what do you do to pas the time if your not catching, cos its not like us lazy carp boys who just set up the buzzers and go to sleep lol

maddison :unlike carping you have to actually watch the rods and also frequently change baits

although i bet lee has a bedchair and snooze alarm set up when he goes floundering

I normally chuck my last one out about 1am then go to bed ,but I only snooze as Im constantly looking at the rod tips just incase

pmsl dave that was good we normally sit around talking crap , eating drinking tea and blaming each other for casting badly , but the quay is another story , you can keep an eye on the dogging , watch the ethnic minority fighting each other , catch up with the local f1 fiesta /racing laps around the quay , listen to drum and bass all night or my favourite , watch the 2 girls who pull up next to your fishing spot playing tonsil tennis then dissapearing to the back seat !

How do you get to the quey again lol ? Al bring me bedchair and some nachos , never mind the rods.
The last time I went carping on a small gravel pit that is located just off a main road, I could here a group leaving a local pub, Id just landed a large carp but all I could hear was womens screaming , blokes fighting, glass smashing. and other ASBO inducing acts. I could just imagine a bottle flying over the hedge row but luckily they were just fighting with them selves. No doggers, lesbians or amateur F1 unfortunately
