| hayling 6/10 VENUE was going to pagham , but the weed and swell put pay to that . so headed to hayling . plopped in groyne 30 . sea was coloured with abit of chop on it . wind was straight in your face RIG AND BAITS was going to fish a pennel 4/0 pulley with large lug and squid baits at distance . a 2 hook distance rig 1/0 with lug and squid , lug and crab fished at distance . THE EVENINGS FISHING started to fish about 7.30 pm . was straight into fish . was getting a fish or two a chuck , was abit manick . weed was not to much of a problem . what was there was in and around the surf . the fish kept coming . as soon my lead hit the bottom . the tip started to rattle . fish were coming on both rigs . then at high water , bang it stopped ! baits were coming in untouched was like it for about a hour . then i started to get the odd rattle , but not as frantic as before , with the odd fish . up till i left just after 2 am . THE FISH had 7 dog fish up to about 1lb8oz . 9 small smoothhounds up to a 1lb . 1 small bass about 1lb and lost count of the pouting i had upto around 3/4lb . but no codling ................. __________________ 2010 south coast danglers cod meet champ     |

| Re: hayling 6/10 Matter is driving back. When I come there, I might have a little nap in the car park (or on the road). Also if there is so much weed in eastoke, town quay is better for me. What are the predictions about weed? |
