 Mutton cove tonight Just got home from an 8 hour session at the cove, had a total of 15 fish, getting a bite a cast, loads of tackle lost (again)!! had 11 whtiting to aboutl 1lb, a small wrass, a spikey rockling and a 2 1/2 starfish. Shocked, saw Devon daves fish on here yaesterday, never even knew we got them that big, so took a photo, when i work out how to post it i'll whack it on. Very dissapointed not to get a doggie though. Bait was rag and squid thunderstorm was superb.      |

| Re: Mutton cove tonight Sounds like a great session you had there mate...never caught a starfish myself and not sure id want to..lol they look to weird to me! we aint been getting many whiting down my way for a while now so well done on the 11 you got....one last thing i have to ask is what is a spiky rockling? well done mate Ollie. |

| Re: Mutton cove tonight Not too sure mate, It was stone coloured, with lots of spines on it, only about 3" long. My father said it was a rockling. I'll see if I can find a similar pic. |

| Re: Mutton cove tonight sent a pic of the fish to the National marine Aquarium and it turns out its a "Long-spined Sea Scorpion Taurulus bubalis, a spiny but harmless fish often confused with the very rare and poisonous Scorpionfishes." I still wouldn't pick the bugger up!! |
