| Couple of sessions I had a quick 3 hour daylight session in midweek and choose Eastney to try and add to my species count. Scratched with worm on two rods on the rising tide and every cast resulted in instant little nips and rattles on the rod-tips. The little swarms soon munched their way through a fiver's rag. Leaving me with a final tally of 5 goldfish-bowl sized bream and 5 corkwing wrasse. At least i needed wrasse for my species count. ![]() On the 19/9/10 I headed to Milford shingle, found it very windy with a big surf running. It looked very bassy so i got a big bait out first. First cast on the worm rod I felt a strong pull as i was walking back to the tripod. Turned out to be a pollock of 1lb exactly. ![]() I was hopeful of a fish filled session but Milford had flattered to deceive as it sometimes does. The pollock turned out to be my blank saver. Bloke next to me wandered up for a chat after a few hours and his session had gone the same. 1lb sole on his first chuck (despite the conditions) and then nothing. |

| Re: Couple of sessions Milford seems really slow for some reason and i'm not sure why I fished there last weds - same sort of conditions - had a cracking bite on my scratching rod - nice bend in the rod and a good tussle - i was expecting a nice Bass but as i eased through the surf i was met with a schoolie on the top snood about 1 1/2lb and a smoothie pup of about4 lb on the bottom snood - i think they were pulling in opposite directions lol any ways that was it i remained biteless for the rest of the session ![]() |
