25 hours on the quay

Friday 10 /09/10 ,

Started fishing at 6 pm with steve 1976 over low water , things were looking good as it was bite after bite , very busy up untill midnight when the wind forced people to flee to there warm beds , not us lol , we stuck it out untill 6 am you just got to fish the 2 golden hours lol , anyway things were going really well , up to high water with sole , dogs ,bass, pout ,whiting , (some big channels) small smutts , a dab and the ever glorious bootlace eels ! , high water as per the norm went quiet for all of 30 minutes , then it took off again bite after bite after bite , the bass were going absolute bananas for the live pout , hitting them left right and center , it carried on this way untill low water on a sunrise , i ended up with 4 sole in size , 3 bass upto 3 1/2 lb on live pout , 1 bass at 1 1/2 lb at distance on worm , very busy night , no monsters but lots of fish ! heres a few pics ................

Saturday 11/09/10,

Arrived at 5 pm , just to get a space lol , club match this time for me , met up with steve 1976 , billytattoo , fingers ,mick and kevin hussar , weather was a lot different to the night before with all but no wind , same tide at 4.9 metres just half an hour later than yesterdays tide , the quay was packed to the hilt with anglers and idiots all trying to squeeze between you , very quiet night in comparrison to the night before , virtually biteless all night , still a few species came to us but very few and far between struggled all night to catch pout , well anything lol , billy lost a lunker of a bass that just picked up his live bait and headed straight underneath the fight lasted all of 1 minute , before the obstuctions down there ended the run , felt gutted for bill as it was a big fish and would have been his first on live pout ,anyway not much else , i won our club match with a 28 cm sole , but was gutted the bass werent playing ........................

what a difference a day makes !!
