| middleton on sea been meaning to fish here for a while . after the weed that hounding the selsey area . i bit the bullet , had a look at low water to see what i could find . found loads of rough ground , sand banks and gullys . was a pleasant suprise . found what i thought was a good looking spot . so dug some lug and got my gear ready . arrived at 9pm to a calm looking sea , after a 20min hike to my area of choice , as theres no parking due to private roads . plan was to fish a 2 hook distance rig , baited with lug , squid and mackerel . the other would be a 3 hook flapper fished in close for the sole with lug . from the word go i had bite , after bite , after bite . you guessed , bloody pout after pout , after bloody pout . the 3 hook flapper produced the odd pout . 3 bass around a pound and a half each and 2 eels about a pound each . was nice to fish a new spot and catch , even if i still not found the sole . packed up around 4 am . looking forward to fishing there again ![]() __________________ 2010 south coast danglers cod meet champ |

. bognor pier is always worth a bet , thats if the polish not on there . it can chuck up anything , but you need to be on the end to be in with a good chance , so need to be there early in the tide .then from there up to the beach huts is much the same sort of ground . pagham is always worth a visit any time of the year , but does get busy when the smoothies are running . . then theres selsey . so many good marks there at all states of the tide . but when weed around does get tuff . you can catch everything and anything here hope this gives you a starting point __________________ 2010 south coast danglers cod meet champ |
