| Monster PB Bass ! It Was Yesterday afternoon i had an urge to go fishing, i havent been since i last had them 2 decent bass... so decided on a venue with a mate and headed off around 10ish.. got to then mark & the tatics were bass rod with Big Macky baits in close (20-30-Yards 8/0 Pennel!) & one smashed out as far as i could with either crab..rag..lug or squid, first few casts resulting in my mate having a nice little schoolie of about 1lb-1lb 8oz, we were getting bites pritty much every cast not big but keeping us active! then it happend!! ..... I rebaited my bass rod with a whole mackeral sent it out about 25 yards put it down started to reel in my other rod .. got it in about half way when i noticed my bass rod tap once quickly put my zziplex down and picked up the bass rod and within picking it up i had shed loads of slack line reeled in the slack and struck... within a milli second of strikeing my bass rod was doubled over! line peeling of my reel the bass was trying to do anything and everything to try and shake that hook! the fight went on for at least 8-10minutes before landing it but in that time i have never ever felt a fish do what this bass was doing even my stingray dident! i knew this bass had to be huge ... after about 4 runs this bass finnaly surfaced i was just about to land it and then it tore of once again!! with the rod hooped right over aand me trying to bully it it finally re surfaced AGAIN!! as i got it in close i saw it was well and truley hooked and it wasent coming off... and then i finally landed my biggest ever BASS!!!! ...... i could not belive my eyes and the size and thicknees off this fish i have just landed, 12lb 8oz of pure silver!.....     now the next aim was to put a double figure bass but this bass was exsausted from the fight so i did decided to keep it.. THERES ALWAYS NEXT TIME :-[ after the excitment off the bass we dicided to fish a couple more hours ... i had 2 smuts .. 2 doggys and my mate had a bream and 2 silver eels :)... WHAT A NIGHT!! my PB bass this one will never be forgotten! she gave an amazing fight witch i connot tell you in words how good it was! Better yet this is my SECOND double figure bass from shore.. one thing im going to say BK you better pull your figure out! before i catch up ;D ;D ;D only 15 more to go!!! :-[ :-[ cheers all ..
