Thumbs up Re: Portland

Dennings tackle or Andy Selby at Weymouth Angling centre are the places to ask for advice Matt. If you have a head for heights, the pulpit rock is a local hotspot for big wrasse. Along the ledges near the lighthouse for Bass, wrasse & pollack. Good luck.

Re: Portland

Like Ian said the pulpit is a favourite. Think you will need plenty of leads and a few big leads as the tides really push through there.

Re: Portland

Just remember to fish the bill tides need to be a couple of hours either side of low. East side 3 hours befor high to an hour after.. Give or take depending on the size of the tides. If you try and fish at other times on the bottom you will be heading for disaster! Suggest the East side cliff marks (Cheyne) would be easiest if you want the advantage of hight without fishing Pulpit which can be a bit daunting the first few times! Coming up to the time of year now when there should be a few decent Wrasse showing.
