hayling and selsey

sitting at home listening to er indoors giving me orders (fix this ,do that) all day i decided to do the right thing. So i packed up the car and headed down to hayling for a spot of fishing, i arrived to find half a dozen guys already set up, found a spot just up from the ferry boat inn. noticing the water was teaming with mackies i put on some feathers and got a dozen or so to start me off.about 11oclock i set up a three hook paternoster with mackerel, rag and squid baits. was quiet for a good while until i got a tug, to find a garfish on the hook. rest of the night was quiet except for a wrass and a small black bream. next morning i decided to go over to selsey where i picked up a nice mullet.

Hello mate,

Got some nice species there.

Think I was talking to you in the ferry boat car park on Friday night about garfish. Nice to see you caught something. I didn't catch anything - but what's new? Mind you, it was windy and weedy.

Spoke to another couple of guys but they didn't have any luck either that night.

Hopefully bump into you again sometime.

Tight lines.
