another family day out , i was gonna go on my tod but everyone envited themselves, so we went to bexy for the afternoon /evening.
first stop was revels fishery for a mooch about the tackle shop & see if they had any rag, which they did.
we then hit bexy and went right , for a few mackerel + a bit of a specie hunt , i was looking for maybe a plaice but would be happy to catch anything,
it was a dry day with a westerly wind about force 3, a big tide with high water at 9pm.
things started slowly with ashley & his g/f fishing for mackerel with sabiki's while i had the worm baits out.

<yawns>. thats better, awake again now.

we were getting no joy on the spinning rods with the sabiki's and i was getting the odd knock on the baited beach casters , rigs on these were a whishbone (size 3 hooks) and a 3 hook flapper(size 4 hooks),
baits were the rag, some frozen lug,squid, cuttle & sandeel.

i kept getting the odd knock from the off but just couldn't connect until ashley & natasha ( nutty) wandered back to the car, then i finally managed to hook what had beeen stripping my baits from the start,- 3'' whiteing there are hoards of them out there.
while they were gone i commandered a spinning rod and managed to catch a single mackerel , then hooked another whiteing on the flapper returned it but then thought -live bait.
so baited the hooks of the size 12? sabiki's , this was the killer ,i soon had a 4inch whiteing live baited about 40 ft out off to one side as a sleeper.
ash & nutty returned and started on a whiteing fest with baited sabiki's in competition with each other.
ashley briefly claimed superiority after hooking a cute blackbream of 3 inches ,
then ronnie and sherilee joined the fray, but ronnie quit after 1/4 of an hour coz he was bored and not catching, though sherilee stuck it out till she caught her first whiteing.
then it was nuttys turn to boast as her rod hooped over and a brief battle saw her land a bass of about 12-14 inches which turned out to be the best fish of the evening.



she went on to catch both bream and a palm sized flounder just to really kick us in the teeth.

mind you i was after bigger fish of course and thats why i caught very little

final scores-

ronnie -blanked

sherilee- 1 whiteing,

geejayy- 3-4 whiteing
1 mackerel.

ashley- 7 or so whiteing,
1 blackbream
2 mackerel.

natasha-7or so whiteing,
1 blackbream,
2 mackerel,
1 flounder,
1 bass
by dusk it was unfortunately time to go.

fell asleep mid post, have been in hospital all morning,ronnie,my yongest, in theater under general aneasthetic. i'll eedit the reest in now i'm awakee agsin.

Kids mate...... i got 4 here and i do nothing but worry about them all lol

just a badly rotted tooth + remove some to allow new uns through as he had a crowded mouth. 9 out in total

Mate, you're gonna have to stop taking the kids with ya.... It must be depressing man!

and BTW, we fished in the right spot on Saturday, but the end result was still the same.... I hate Ferrybridge.
