| selsey west beach left home arond 5.45 pm was cloudy and little to no weed . thought i would get there at low water to have a look for all the banks that are along there . 20min later when i got to selsey i was confront with high winds straight in to my face , with a raging surf . bloody great i thought . the 1 night i wanted to go . tide and moon were spot on . they said the wind would drop off , later that day . got my gear and walked down to the out fall pie area . by now the wind was going at it hammer and tonges . then it started to rain . could not even get my buddy up . then around 8pm it easied just enough for me to get it up . took fresh rag and lug . squid and sand eels . left the crab at home as plan was to fish for the bass and sole . well that went out the window . as the tide came in the raging surf became more of big breakers . just after 9pm the pout moved in on mass . there was alot of string type weed being beached and knew this could be a problem later . the pout kept coming . just as the tide started to push , so did the weed . it was that bad and copled with the large swell . could not even get a bait to the bottom . so could not fish for a hour over high water . then the wind eased some more and turn to a westerly . the pouting still kept coming . cant remember the last time i had a hiot of pout like this . i was fishing 2hook rigs at distance . was getting double shot every time . i managed to beach a bass about 1.8lbs . also had a pout that had been bite in half !! . by 3 am i had enough so packed up . on the way back to the car , the wind just stopped . bloody typical .....  . bet you weather be spot on to night ........................ __________________ 2010 south coast danglers cod meet champ     |

| Re: selsey west beach Typical bloody british weather  Was pretty shocking weather for us last week mate...mind you we only saw two pout then it just died off as the wind eased ! Quote:

| Re: selsey west beach We went to selsey on wed got there around 5pm and left at around 8pm because of the weed. what a pain in the a'' it was __________________ Sea fishing the only real fishing fresh water fishing is like fishing in a fish tank you know whats in there. |
