Charmouth again

well after recovering from a big night out on saturday it was good old charmouth again last night

meeting Leigh there at just gone 8 we headed off left and met shane and set up
tide looked good for a ray

1 rod went out sandeel( naturally) other with bling and worm

well it was quiet for me ,shane and leigh but baggie was off on a catching spree with a schoolie first cast

soon after we were treated to a cracking sunset


shane managed a mackeral, and rich was now into the pout
and then after a massive bend in his rod " this is a biggie, !!" was the call
be brings in this m0onster


leigh was also into the pout now
rich managed another tiny ray

then after sorting out a horrible tangle between mine and leighs lines as packing up i eventually broke the blank with a micro ray myself( rich has picture)

not the easiest night, rich was definately man on fire last night, and was nice to meet leigh properly at last

week off for me now as will be landlocked till monday

It was a busy night in the end. Started off with a couple of little scoolies and the pout came on the feed big style with a couple of butterfly ray keeping me a happy bunny.

As Dave says, that first one felt like a really good fish most of the way in and my little rods were bent right over, so it was a realy surprise when that tiny little ray flapped out of the surf. I wonder what's it's gonna feel like if I ever get a decent fish on them??

It was good to meet Leigh properly as well. A good night all round!

there is a guy local to me who says he fishes charmouth... now i dunno where he fishes but he came home yesterday with 3 bass the biggest 12lb 7oz!

it was caught on a whole bluey .. as i say he reckons its charmouth but wont reveal exact location ect

Congratulations to Baggie on his hot streak.

Re the big bass on a whole bluey.... I feel big baits will sort out the bigger fish, but you may have a lot more blank sessions. Of course doing your homework on presentation, tides, times & venues will improve the odds. I don't know anyone who can catch a relative monster at will.

i've been given the nod towards a lowwater bass mark down that way recently , i may give it a go somewhen

i understand what your saying and agree! however you havent met this jammy so and so!
