Swimming with sharks 24/7/10

Right ill get this report out of the way so you can all have your laughs

fished hillhead wall with bassmanrob last night , chasing the hounds again , the wall was packed as usual but we managed to get a space , started off very quiet , nothing on the worm or mackeral baits as well as the crab baits , rob was first in with a hound after about 4 hours lol ...............



then it seemed like an age before i landed my first ............



mate sharkster was doing ok landing 3 then dropping a big bugger

now the swimming with sharks bit , sat there and i had a good pulldown and hound on ,got the hound in netting distance rob grabbed the net and went over the railings , bosh hes gone ! he slipped down the slope and into the water , it was pretty deep the part we were fishing and the tide was ebbing , he was shouting at me to grab the net to pull him back , chucked the rod on the railings and over i went to grab the net to pull him up bosh thats me gone as well ! so with both of us in the drink the tide ebbing and nothing to get us out , i shouted to sharkster who came running up with a long net to drag us out , rob made his way to the groyne and was pulled out , however my fladen flotation bib and brace did exactly what it said on the tin and held me afloat for all of 2 minutes , now i know these are not life savers , but it just got soaked through and held me down !! and with the smutt wrapping the line around my neck trying to escape and walloping his tail around my nether regions it was going really bad any way sharkster managed to drag me to the steps with the aid of his net and i was helped out by 2 other anglers there , not before i sat there and landed the hound heres the culprit ....................



baited up and cast out again for another hound but after 1 1/2 hours of being soaked through we were freezing and packed up for home , now we can laugh now but 2 schoolboy errors could have been so much worse

Well done on the hounds lads.
Close escape there woth the dunking.
The instructions with the floaty said never where the bottom half alone - as it will raise your bottom half & duck the head - also to use the straps between legs to stop the jacket going from riding up over your head.
But lets face it we all use them mainly for warmth or to keep our girlie clothes clean

I dont even think it was a double didnt weigh the poor sod i think it was traumatised enough with me and rob in there with it
