where to go sea fishing in south coast

I'm looking for some help - I hope i'm in the right place. I'm an avid course angler and recently took my other half fishing which he loved. I'd like to book a day out sea fishing in August off of the south coast - portsmouth - lyme regis southampton not too fussed where. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good boat that goes out sea fishing that my other half would be able to join. He has no experience really - i think he's been sea fishing once years ago. I'd really appreciate any feedback of where or where not to go or any recommendations of boats that I can contact.

Thanks very much in advance

Julia

Re: where to go sea fishing in south coast

Try the Weymouth boats Julia.....probably the biggest fleet in the South Coast area..
www.deepsea.co.uk

best ones are Channel Chieftain,Tiger Lily,Offshore rebel,Peace and Plenty or Flamer

Channel Chieftain skippered by Pat Carlin is the largest boat in the south and i regularly fish trips from 8hrs to 4 days with him.
Click on the deepsea directory and look for the individual places listed by the various skippers or on the 'last minute' places link ..

Most top boats are fully booked at weekends a year in advance but places come up due to cancellations etc.....
Poole has a large fleet of charter boats too, offering good mixed fishing ..
Lyme bay has a couple,Southampton even less lol so go for one of the above and enjoy where ever you end up..
Steve

Rob THOMPSON'S 'SHOGUN' out of Lymington is an awesome craft, Rob is a top bloke, an excellent angler and offers all the facilities you could hope for.

He is on Deepsea.co.uk and you can contact him on his mobile. 07725 563 562.

I go out with Rob a lot and cannot recommend him highly enough.

Good luck.

A.C.

Hi Julia
I live on portland and go boat fishing three or four times a year out of weymouth harbour. I would highly recommend booking a days fishing with Lyle Stantiford aboard supanova. I have fished with him twice this year and have two excellent days. If you go onto the deep sea directory, You will see all his details.

Re: where to go sea fishing in south coast

Hi Julia,

Another top skipper is Steve Porter - True Blue - Poole.

Our club uses him regularly and he comes highly recommended.

Regards

Drew
