Warsash Last Night

Fished the tide down at one of my regulars last night. The site usually fishes well over high water, but it appears not so well down to low.
I turned up about 2 hours after hw and was instantly getting bream rattles on any rag/squid bait that went out. This carried on until there was basicly no water and I moved to fish into the deep channel at the mouth of the estuary. Upon moving weed was a real problem, there is a very strong current here when the tide is moving and even a 200g grip weight wouldnt hold. Fished all the way down the low and up for an hour, deciding to leave when the sea scouts decided to practice zig-zaging 20 yrds in front of me.
As for what I caught, about two tons of weed and half a doozen black bream, one of which was big enough to eat.
Nice way to spend the evening in the sun, but hard work fishing, not quite the relaxing evening I had in mind.

good effort mate - didnt know you could get bream round there so i'll bear it in mind - the weed at Hillhead was horrendous and even managed to find some at T.Q. - think the clean up plus the tides meant it looked more like a rain forest than the sea

There are a lot of bream to be had there, but they are almost all tiddlers
