Re: help wanted plz

try a couple of spinners youll need traces as well and foreceps! but if youwant to be more relaxed try a free running feeder on the main line, swivel then a leader half the breaking strain of the main line as for bait id load up on maggot, corn, groundbait, hemp, castors and take some meat -spam ,pepperamis are good on a hair rig 15lb line might be a bit excessive but then again you didnt really specify what you are hoping to catch there .

Re: help wanted plz

You have probably gone by now, Crabs might be good mate but i would have taken my fork with me and dug some rag, the mullet love them up there and so do the Bass, caught several up there in recent years. only schoolies.
Your going to fish it on the up tonight, found it brilliant fishing it anyway up or down, i take my spinning rod, which will cope with 2oz weight easily, 15lb line is spot on, preferably loaded with braid so that you can feel the bites easily as it doe,s race abit when the tide gets going, sometimes better to plan smaller tides, However i use 50lb braid and a ten foot leader about 15lb is fine, you will get snagged up and generally you shoul,nt lose tackle with this set up, which is frustrating tackling up if the fish are going mad for it.

Normally use a running ledger rig and let it run and then settle in the bank, if no bites within say 5 minutes, re cast, bait up, etc, crabs are a problem, stealing bait and it doesn't normally take longer than five minutes before they strip it.
I have found mullet take the smallist sized mepps (blue&silver if poss) loaded with red rag, be careful about leaving your rod, theres mullet five pound plus up there and they take real p1$$ed off when you catch them, if your targeting mullet its also wise to take a landing net. TIGHT LINES
