double venue , and a baggie smile at last

last night rich and myself were again on a bit of a mission

so we started off down the river for a mullet
well the water was filthy due to some bank repair work upstream, and fishing was tough, we stayed mobile, and we both connected to fish but came away with a blank, but more knowledge of when to fish here

then off on a ray/anything hunt down jacobs, as was over low we yomped alot further down the beach as safer over low wityh the unstable cliffs

well the big bright moon and clear water probably was our enemy, along with the weed

i managed 1 dog all eve, rich didnt fair much better with 2 dogs , but at last a better bass at 2 1/4lb
so a smile at last

Almost forgotten what the smile looked like... it's nearly back in full bloom.

It has been frustrating for a while now, but I guess we all go through barren spells at one time or another. I know I must be doing the right things, 'cause I'm doing exactly the same as Dave and he's pulled a few out recently!!! Well, I say the same things, I do have a tendancy for putting one rod in close with large baits. Can't think why!

It'll come I'm sure, but that Bass was a welcome start. Just need to find it's granddad now! Keep yer head down and stick to your guns Rich....
