selsey west beach

after my weed feast the night before round east beach . i went round to west beach last night . arrived there around 5pm . wind was brisk and straight in my face , but hot . walked down to out flow pipe . waqs suprised i was only one there . high tide was around 9pm . things were slow . about 8pm after having several hours of no weed . it picked up . was that horrible brown sticky stuff . then about 9pm it stopped and straight away the bites started . was not expecting to much as was a small tide for west beach . first fish was a small smoothie about 5lb . then another and another . then that was it . the wind started to die off . then around 10.30 the pout move in . by midnight the baits were coming back in untouched so ncalled it a night . strange how both venues are only couple of miles apart . yet east beach is solid with fresh weed at all states of the tide . yet west beach has only a little but it dead slimmy stuff ........................... off to spain for a couple of weeks now . so wont be out to play for a while . so you all have fun when im gone .
