| southbourne southbourne 17th june, hi, i had a last minute pass so went for a sesh' along southbourne to catch the 1am tide, the plan started with a' catch last orders at the grange hotel for a pre-fish pint  i missed my pint by quite some time as the hotel was shut/closed & partially demolished- no beer !  the dangling, started & finnished in a simalar manner, with baits masked by mayweed in short order while the tide ran, and not much better at slack i fished at 40yd- as far as i could chuck , which went quite well in the almost nonexistant breeze from the wsw. a mixture of sandeel,squid and razorfish baits were employed to no avail, on both pulley pennels for a bass or ray and 3 hook flapping scratch rigs. i gave up at 4 am , an hour after sun up, to find one other hardy soul had fished through the night a few groynes away to the 'southeast' hope he did better than i.  2009,sessions-39 blanks-13, species-25 2010, sessions-12, blanks-6 , species-8,whiteing. pouting. common smoothound. starry smoothound. mackerel. poorcod. thorneback ray. bass, __________________ beer so many venues, so little time.
