Hi All

Friday I was invited out again on Razorbill 2 to target the Thornbacks.We set out around 8.00am and was fishing by 9.00am on the incoming tide anchored on the edge of a drop off

I was using a running rig baited with squid and after 30 mins I missed my first bite, ten mins later I was into my first Thornback of the day, ten mins later and I was into my second Thornback. 30 mins later I had a take and was playing in what I thought was a very large Thornback, it took ages to get to the surface and to my surprise I had a female Thornback around 8lb ready for the net with a male Thornback on her back getting his end away, both where netted and then returned,

Has any one else caught two Thornbacks on a single hook before??

I caught another two Thornbacks before high water, biggest being just over 10lb. I fished on for two hours as the tide receded but struggled to get any decent bites before calling it a day

I am quite enjoying this boat fishing lark, the sea sick pills are working a treat and I have even purchased two sets of boat rods and multipliers,

looking forward to the next trip, will it be the local river or the boat fishing, decisions decsions
