Weymouth pleasure pier

yet again blank session perfect tide, no wind, i was gutted, i had my new dexters wedge on, then some guy came next to me with a old dexters wedge no holo foil on it, whipped out a makkie, i was damed!!!!
i was hoping for bass but none about
maybe anuva month?

had 12 mackerel in 3 casts off chesil yesterday !
Plenty about but better chance of getting them on the float if your fishing the pier or harbour !

Not sure how you are gonna fish the breakwater ? its not public property

thanks mate i know nothing about that area i am from london and is a long trip last thing i want to do is breaking in private property can you tell us where can i be allowed to fish on that area and if is there any scad about?in same areas fishermen call it horse mackerrel they are very active at night time.

plenty mackerel and a few scad off the beach all along Chesil.. head for Abottsbury if you have a car or park in the car park at the Portland end of chesil and walk up over the bank -

You can fish anywhere in the harbour and on the stone pier with basic gear - float fishing or spinning for mackerel , garfish bass etc. but need to be able to cast further if you want to fish with feathers off the beach.

many thanks mate ,you are a top man i m sorry all this delays on feed back but that s my first time on the forum and i am still trying to know how it works , i am having all this trouble cause i have a couple of starters whith me on saturday i just dont want them to be desapointed ,one more thing have you haver fish from winsip dorset

Winspit lol ?? Yes but not really for beginners as its quite high and rocky and can lose quite a lot of tackle there..Beautiful area all along the ledges from Swanage past Lulworth , Kimmeridge etc..
what sort of tackle do you have to use ? this could be most important..
