| chale 4th after a tough old climb down to chale beach we set up camp for the night. armed with peeler crab and sand eel, we started fishing at about 5 in the evening. it was very quite until about 9pm when it just started to get dark, resulting in dog fish and pout. then at 9:45pm i had a very big pull on the sand eel, i struck the rod to hook in to which felt like a very nice fish.... straight away i knew it was a ray coz it felt like bringing in seeweed and it stayed on the bottom, then i see it ... my first ever ray and it looked a nice size too, i beached it and weighed it .... 7lb 7 oz, not bad for my first ever ray and a very happy bunny. no other rays that night just pout but a very happy man  then i relised we had to climb back up to the carpark ... not so happy   http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/3722/7lb7ozray.jpg here are just a few pics of this lovly beach  http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/7546/image0373.jpg  http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/  http://img25.imageshack.us/img25 then the climb back up in the morning  http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/3923/image0355o.jpg  http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/ Last edited by Fishing Forum Admin; 06-09-2010 at 09:48 AM.     |
