dug some rag sunday afternoon . ready for for a trip down selsey . got to selsey around lunch time . wanted to fish the point over low water , which was around 1.30 pm . the beach was covered in piles of weed . so shoud of know then not to bother fishing there . but i still gave it a bash . after just 20 min and a ton of weed later . as quick as i set up , i packed up .
so went round to the far end of east beach to have a look . there was no sign of any weed . so thought i woulld give it a bash . set up and was fishing just after low water . was not a big tide . so did not drop that far , so there should of been a fair bit of water there . to say fishing was slow was a under statement . spider crabs were very active though ...... then about 4pm started to get the odd rattle . i left the crabs at home as only really wanted the bream . so was only armed with rag and squid .
the tide started to push by about 5.30pm and the weed was not to bad . conscidering . then the bream turned up . but not in any numbers . the wind droped right off . the garfish were topping all over the place . but the mackerel were no were to be seen . then the wind got up and the rain started to fall . but still despite it being tuff . ended up with 7 bream . biggest being around 2lbs but most being arond 3/4lbs . packed up around 9.30pm . back down next week all going well . would of took some pictures , but forgot camera
