Brittle Star banks 2/6/2010

Sorry the the delay in posting, last wedensday we set out for the Brittle Star banks,
crew was Ray, Trev, Dean, Rich, myself and "Electric Dave" more about him later. No wind and a cloudless sky, wrong
100% over cast and what breeze we had was cold.

After a two hour steam we arrived with high hopes of repeating last years catches but the fishing was slow we stuck at it
and the sun came out as well as the cod.

Trev, who had a nigthmare day,



every time he dropped his gear it dug in and never came back, nine sets in a row was his pb.

Now a bit about "electric Dave"



his hands are crippled with arthritis and he can't use a coventional reel so hes gone
electric,





His first fish was a Tope around 30lb which snapped the trace next to the boat, followed by a cod,



The fish vanished and time was getting on so we headed home via a wreck, Rich hadn't caught a cod but connected
with this pollock.

So it was home time, a good day out with great company, total catch 8 cod and six pollock.
