| abbotsbury mundy 17th A bit predictable really, high tide was for 22.00, with a fairly new moon, the one surprise was arriveing to find a fair number of anglers there on a monday evening. which meant that myself, ash, & hartley had to hoof it a fair way left before we had space to fish. we got as far as the old pill box to the left which felt like 3/4 s the way to the dragons teeth but prob only about 1/2 way. the wind was light s/w and what little cloud there was was high giveing a not unpleasant evening, the sea was clear with a 2ft swell rolling onto the shingle. while i set up camp the race for the 1st fish was already under way , like last week mackerel were showing along the beach as we walked down, and it took no time before ashley was hauling the first ones in. ![]() we drew the line at a dozen because that gave us plenty for bait + a few for scran. though i caught yet another mackerel on a 'slide down float rig' aimed at gars bait on the bottom were a dead loss till after dark when the doggies came on the feed and just the odd poor cod for variety on the ebb. __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |

| Well done on the species points Gordon. I'm starting to wonder when the summer species are going to start showing. Hopefully a bit of sunshine this week will improve things. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |
