| Burton Bradstock Hi all, fished Hive beach yesterday from 1900 until 0530 looking for a bass. Spent 20 mins on the feathers and managed to pluck out 8 nice size mackie to present as head and guts for the bass. Unfortunately the bass werent interested and even eluded the guys who turned up at dawn to try spinning for them. I fished a third rod looking for anything that was interested in picking up the hook and just managed a couple of LSD's. All in all it was a nice chilled sesh and I was the envy of my two mates who didnt bother bringing their beach buddies! |

| Re: Burton Bradstock Hi Nick, well done on the Mackerell, shame about the Bass. Next time I go to Hive I'm going to head right along the beach under the cliffs, about half way to the next bay there are some rocks and weed right infront of where the beach shelves. I'm looking forward to spinning over those, might even try some float fishing for a change too. I think on a calm evening that might just be feasible. Last time I was there it was like a millpond and so clear. |
