| Re: barrack lane . pagham then hayling tue day time My 'tongue in cheek' was born outa frustration ..... I once had 19 plaice (>2-15-8) at Hayling on a single tide. This year I had 'zilch'! 6 trawlers now combing up to the groynes here daily. Say they are fishing for cuttles, but still carving up the sea-bed in only 25' of water! ![]() |

| Re: barrack lane . pagham then hayling tue day time fished 6 till midnight at barrack lane . wind was from my laft and a little chilly . sport was slow . then the weed turned up about 30 min before high tide , lasted about a hour . it was very heavy , that fine green stuff that sticks to every thing . then about 10.30 had a mad hour . had 2 dogfish , a small smoothound and then a small suprise a very small spotted ray . then it all went dead . after what ive been hearing about hayling , i went to west beach , selsey . wind of my back , of which was nice in the sun . was suprised that ther was no weed pushing through at high tide ........... about a hour after high tide , had a small flounder and plaice . that was it . so the fish were small , but atleast there are some fish starting to show in this part of the world now . things are on the up . |
