frustrateing night at branscombe last night

well as i came back from the IOW witha dozen peeler and lots of sandeel it was off to branscombe last

i was fishing one rod crab hopeing the smoothies may be in, other popped up sandeel for first makkie of the year

rich was sandeel on the deck and bluey in close

well rich was the dogfish magnet and was hauling them in on the sandeel bait all eve( good size as well)

me well i had a few hefty knocks on both rods ( maybe the intended targets??) but I failed to connect to anything, i did stick to my guns and didnt change tactics

rich even had dogs on crab , so it wasnt that they didnt like it last night

oh well

i shall continue the game of doggie avoidance over the weekend

Unlucky, Got to pick up soon huh !< Although the weather we are having today and over the weekend is not going to help, ..getting colder again

yeah that what I was thinking, It does need a stir up, Was at seaton on saturday and the water was as clear as...well water !. I did have a few nice pull downs ..but was to busy texting on the phone when I saw the rod spring back up !. I was using raw king prawn from tesco as bait and the usual stuff, Something needs to happen very soon otherwise Im gonna go river fishing again lol

And I wasn't just fishing for doggies, the sand eel pinned to the bottom is clearly a classic ray tactic.

Biggest laugh of the night??? Dave's comment, doggies don't seem interested in the crab. Bosh, doggie on crab.
